Scorpions glow under ultraviolet light.
There have been several hypothesis among scientists as to what evolutionary role does this “glow” play – but there is no definite firm answer. Another crazy fact is that even some Scorpion Fossils from millions of years ago still to this day – glow under blacklight.
It is pretty amazing if you stroll along in the desert with UV flashlight – Those sneaky little animals become all of a sudden quite conspicuous.
